I loved my time as a zookeeper just as much as I love working with dogs and their people!

In the theater department, I trained a diverse range of species, teaching behaviors for live stage shows while also taking the animals around the zoo for up-close guest interactions. It was an incredible opportunity to share how amazing each animal is and inspire a deeper appreciation for wildlife.

Indy the Giant Indian Fruit Bat

I worked with Indy, his brother Wilson, and two Straw-Colored Fruit Bat sisters, educating guests about just how absolutely amazing bats are!

Clouded Leopards

The Zoo has a successful Clouded Leopard breeding program! Some cloudie moms are not so good at their job so when cubs need to be pulled they're hand raised and the theatre trained and incorporated two cubs (now adults) into the show.

Forrest the Eurasian Eagle Owl

Forrest is one of the free-flying birds in the show. With a wingspan of 5 - 6.5 feet it is an impressive site to take in!
